Frosty Faustings XVII holds the main event tournaments across 2-days (Friday and Saturday). Thursday is a day for everyone to get their badges and play some casuals, with some Vortex Gallery tournaments also featured. On Sunday, we have a full-day after party, which takes place after all main tournaments have ended. We adopted this format to allow people to have a relaxing Sunday where they can comfortably travel home without taking time off of work or classes on Monday and plan flexible travel, without having to worry about missing any of the main tournaments. For those players who will be sticking around on Sunday after the main events are over, we will continue the tradition of our official after party, ON-SITE AT THE VENUE, WITH ADMISSION ALREADY INCLUDED IN EVERY BADGE!

Casuals free play: We will have casual setups for EVERY main tournament game, available all day! It’s a great opportunity to get sets in with players from other regions that you may not have time to during tournament hours. Take this opportunity to learn tough matchups, become more familiar with the play styles of other players, or just have fun hitting buttons!

Food and Drinks: There will be concessions with food as well as a bar with both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for sale. Please drink and mash responsibly!

Waseda 2v2 Team Tournaments RETURN! This time we have 7 of them!

By popular demand, we have decided to switch things up this year and bring back 2v2 Waseda Team tournaments. Waseda tournaments are a unique format, popular in Japan, that ensure both players on each team get a chance to play. Player A on team 1 plays against player A on team 2. Then player B on team 1 plays against player B on team 2. If both players on the same team win their matches, the set is over. If one player wins from each team, the 2 remaining players fight to determine the winner! Each match between players is only one single game, so make it count! All 2v2 Waseda tournaments will take place in the Grand Ballroom and will be streamed. Each 2v2 Waseda tournament is capped at 64 total teams.

Grab a buddy and come show that you’re the best Mystery Duo in the Midwest! Mystery J and Atomic_Collider return to provide you with an exclusive Team Mystery Event! 32-Team Double Elimination Bracket, 2 Players per team. All consoles and controllers will be provided by Staff. Looking up info on the games during the event is strictly prohibited. (This is NOT a Waseda tournament. Format varies per game).
